white + lace

yesterday i decided to set myself monthly goals for this blog, one of them being to shoot a minimum of two outfit posts per week. i love shooting outfits, but i just never seem to find the time to do them. that’s why this plan will come in handy- two is a very realistic and achievable goal!

having goals clearly in mind makes blogging much easier! i also have goals on how many twitter/bloglovin followers i want to have by the time august finishes, and how many comments and hits I’d like my posts to have.

what goals do you have?

studio inspiration

i would like to convert my shed into a studio. it would have weathered wood and wall stickers and rails of vintage lining every wall. it would be full of lovely things and pretty smells and every time i entered it, it would feel like home.

treading through sunlight, they are now bright and flickering like the surface of the sea. they now leap with diamonds.

the illustrated outfit

while i was in america it was so hot outside that i couldn't face going out to shoot an outfit. us brits aren't physically capable of withstanding such heat while posing for the camera, its just not doable. so, i've decided that when i'm unable to actually take photos of my outfit, i'll illustrate what i'm wearing instead!

this illustration took me all day, and then a little longer on my laptop playing around with it, but it's finally done. i still need to work on adding backgrounds and more colour, but i don't think i've done so bad considering i haven't painted for a long, long time. i really enjoyed it!

visiting america was a lot of fun. i might be going back next may! new york was wonderful, and the beaches in michigan were great to relax in and read books all day. once i've sorted through the 567 photos on my camera i might have some to show you.

stay with me, just for tonight, while the weather is gloomy and my toes are cold. blanket me with your warmth and ship my body into a sea of sleep by drowning me in sweet lullabies laced with kisses.
