DIY Driftwood Jewelry Board

Hi friends! Today's DIY tutorial is really simple and cost effective (making this jewelry board only cost me £3!) so why not find yourself a plank of wood and some hooks and join in the fun! I'd love to see how yours turns out.

1. Place your hooks where you would like them on the driftwood. I chose to lie them in a diagonal line so I could hang necklaces of varying lengths on the jewelry board.

2. Using your nails and hammer, nail the hooks to the wood! Once you've knocked your nails through the wood, turn the plank over and knock the pointy ends of the nails until they are facing downward. This is not just for health and safety, but for the protection of the wall you'll hang this on!

3. Finish nailing every hook to the wood and check each hook is secure and not jiggling around the nail.

4. Mark where you would like to drill holes in your wood and then drill the holes with a power drill.

5. Using twine, string or whatever you fancy, loop it through the holes and knot it.

6. Hang your jewelry board from a nail on the wall, so all your prettiest necklaces are on show!

DIY Butterfly Print Nails

After my experiment with a chevron nail print I started thinking about other ways I could make my nails look lovely, without paying salon prices. Then I found the Konad Stamping Nail Art Set I'd bought months ago, and decided to give it another go. Turns out that after a few goes with this nail art kit, you really can achieve salon-perfect nails! Here is a little tutorial on how it works.

1. What you'll need: Nail polish, a top coat and a Konad Nail Stamping Kit

2. Paint your nails in the colour of your choosing. Be sure to give them a couple of coats and wait until they are 100% dry before moving on.

3. In your Konad Nail Kit you'll receive a disk with lots of different patterns on it. Choose the pattern you want on your nails and paint over it.

4. In your nail kit there will be a scraping tool. Use your scraper to scrape the excess nail polish from the pattern you painted over! You should now be able to see your pattern still on the disk but with nail polish outlining it.

5. A rubber stamp also comes with your kit. Press the stamp down hard on the painted pattern and when you remove the stamp the pattern should have transferred from the disk to your stamp.

6. Stamp the pattern onto your nails, wait for it to dry completely and cover all your nails with a top coat. Done!

Couple Style

Josh's Outfit: Shirt: Topman / Chinos: Topman / Braces: Vintage

As soon as the sun broke through the clouds I stole a chance for a little outfit shooting, couple style. There may only be a handful of boyfriends that are willing to strap on their braces and pose for their girlfriends blog photos, but my boyfriend is one of them, thankfully. It's fun shooting outfits when you're not the only one in front of the lens; suddenly I found myself more relaxed and happy. Usually out of the three hundred photos we snap (that's right, three hundred) only about 15 turn out ok but this time I got a lot more. Yipee!

Nesha's Outfit: Dress: Zara / Tights: Topshop / Shoes: Office / Satchel: Zatchels / Hair Bow: Vintage / Ring: Seld

I admired this dress for a long time in Zara before I actually saved the money to buy it. Unfortunately, I hadn't tried it on until the day of these photos and now its all too apparent that I'm too tall to wear it. So I'll be selling it on eBay soon if anyone is interested! It's a size small, I've worn it once. I'll tweet when I post it on eBay so if you don't already follow me please feel free to!

Even though me and Josh have been together for a long time, this was our first holiday together. We went to Wales, and it rained every day. Well, except for the day in the photographs of course. Oh, and the day of the next outfit post I'm posting. The thing is that even though it rained, I kind of didn't mind. It was still fun running through the rain with him and driving through the mountains and seeing the sights. It was the best rain filled holiday ever!
